paella & petrol

last night was the closing of the big CAI weekend & we got to finally taste paella.

if you have no clue what paella is: (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paella)
to me, it was like a different version of the cajun jambalaya.

they put all kind of things in it... mussels, mushrooms, safffron, olive oil, chicken, shrimp, artichokes, peppers, paella sauce, & rice. it cooked in a huge paella pan outside.

we had a great time with the CAI leaders over great food, great wine, & great stories that I will never forget.

even adults laugh about farting!

something else that is happening here is a petrol truck strike.

the gas is even more expensive here (about $7.50 a gallon i think) & the truckers are not making money because their wages haven't increased with the prices. so they started to go on strike, meaning that they are parking their huge trucks across the fairways so that no one can travel, except on the service roads. people are then nervous that the petrol (gas) will run out & everyone is filling up. waiting hours in the lines to fill up. & people traveling home (like the CAI visitors who had to drive 5 hours today) may be without gas. they say the government will be doing something by this weekend.... weird.
